PREEN - Pre-Fall 2013

Let's be honest for a moment, who doesn't love a good punk-ish, eighties-inspired, slap-you-in-the-face collection like Preen's pre-fall collection? I love the tartan plaid, and the super cool mod polka-dot/ripped up print. It wasn't perfect, however. It hit a little too close to the "I'm a girl and I like girls" line for me, but that shows the daring-ness of the collection. Not the mention the shoes (if you haven't caught on by now, I LOOOVE shoes.) are radical as well. Overall, it was a better pre-fall collection than most I've seen, but definitely not the best.

ERDEM Pre-Fall 2013

Erdem's pre-fall collection was absolutely STELLAR. Everything about it was so perfect. The color palette was fall, but not the bland-boring colorless kind of fall colors I've seen this year, (although I must admit I am starting fancy the caramel/camel brown that has been so prevalent thus far). The clothes and prints were both creative and gorgeous as well, especially both the rainbow plaid and the fish scale-esque thing they had going on. And the ever prevalent floral prints tend to have an awkward mix between little girl and old woman, but the way they handled it was totally on point. Not to mention, the shoes were absolutely gorgeous. Everything about this collection practically screams fabulous. I'm in absolute LOVE. Definitely following this brand more closely in the future.
